As a non-profit organisation, MCACA relies heavily on sponsorship. MCACA receives sponsorship from corporate entities, non-profit organisations, governmental and non-governmental bodies. Funds received are utilised by members for various community activities, charity purposes and supporting the operations of MCACA to maintain a strong platform within the Malaysian community in Australia.

MCACA supports other related non-profit organisations, like student, community, cultural and sporting bodies. Scholar awards are also available for individual high achievers, on case-by-case basis.
